The Story.....
Mai Tokiha is bounded in a sea ship carrying her dreams as a transferee student in Fuka Academy. Riding the sea cargo , many things happened. Mikoto , a girl resembling a cat , appeared . She was being attacked by Natsuki , a gun wielding girl armed with a powerful cyborg dog which they call CHILDS or beasts assigned to each powerful hime or princess that Mai would also posses.
And her journey started after that confrontation....
Mai and his friends are now bounded to have the power of CHILDS. They must protect their life and their friends to surpass the challenge.
What would happen with them if every each day a hime's loved one vanishes because of a very reason.... and that would be the biggest challenge. The biggest challenge and the reason lies with their CHILDS. If the CHILD they posses dies , they would also be losing someone who are so dear with them - can be a family member or a love interest.
With that consequence , Mai would be suffering with every Hime losing their most beloved... But she will stand up and defeat the Orphans , neglected childs!!
A painful story will unfold and so unexpected as it may be...........
The Himes.....
Mai Tokiha
CHILD: Kagutsuchi
A Strong willed girl that is also a sister to Takumi. She will do anything to protect Takumi - knowing that if she lose in a battle, Takumi would die . She loves to cook and her child looks like a dragon bounded by a sword in between its mouth.
Natsuki Kuga
CHILD: Duran
Another strong willed girl that looks for the truth when she was selled to the Sears foundation by her own mother. She has an awkward attraction with Shizuro. Her child is Duran who looks like a cyborg dog who has two cannons on his back.
Shizuru Fujino
CHILD : Kiyohime
A very romantic girl in-loved to Natsuki. Her Child is Kyohime which is a violet cyborg hydra. She uses a spear to defeat orphans. She killed numerous himes during the hime fight.
Mikoto Minagi
CHILD: Miroku
A very childish girl that searches for her brother who is actually Reito. She loves to eat Mai's dishes and looks like a cat. her child is a Big Black Sword but then transformed in a round monstrous oni or demon in the last battle between her and Mai.
Akane Higurashi
CHILD: Hari
The very first Hime to lose. She lose her boyfriend who is very much in-loved with her. She has a child that is like a tiger. She uses Tonfas to defeat orphans.
Fumi Himeno
CHILD: Mashiro
A maid who serves her own child , Mashiro , principal of Fuka Academy. She has a scythe that she uses in battle. She is very loyal to her child even though she was controlled by Reito , the main antagonist in the story.
Yukino Kikukawa
CHILD: Diana
A smart girl who is very attached to Haruka , Fuka Academy's student council president. Her child is diana , A green surveillance beast that can spy and display almost anything that is happening around Fuka.
Shiho Munakata
CHILD: Yatagarasu
A girl in-loved to Yuuchi , Mai's love interest. She will do anything so that Yuuchi would love her. She even attacked Mai because she knows that Mai was Yuuchi's love not her. Her pet is a big crow that uses shadows. She uses a flute to lure enemies.
Akira Okuzaki
CHILD: Gennai
A trained ninja that is in-loved to Takumi , Mai's brother. She even pretended to be a boy at start. Her child is a big frog.
Yukariko Sanada
CHILD: Vlas
A nun that is in-loved with a painter. She betrayed the himes because her love told her to do that. Her child looks like a horse chess piece. She uses a crossbow.
Midori Sugiura
CHILD: Gakutenou
A teacher that is one of the strongest hime. Her child looks like a horned beast but in a vehicle with two large wheels. She also uses a spear.
Nao Yuuki
CHILD : Julia
A girl who lost her correct path that is in burden by her mother who is sick. She has a child who looks like a red spider. She uses claws.
The Battle of Himes.....
In the later part of the story , the himes are forced to fight each other. Nao was actually the one who ignited the fight because of her scar in her face that she had during a fight. That was the start of the story's painful unfolding for me. The way the creator enacted that plot was so brilliant. It was touching but at the same time hard to see. The animation are a little bit Ecchi or nude at some point but all in all it was really one of the coolest anime i have watched.
