What makes it special.....
We always thought that shows about magical mages would always be the same - Timid , Boring and Lame. If i were you, i would really change that perception now. If you will only see Fairy Tail , like many people have done , you might change your mind at this very moment. With a simple plot and great characters , who would really thought that Fairy tail will compete with other big animes like Naruto and Bleach.
The magic that made Fairy tail amazing is the comedy it brings but at the same time, a large amount of heartwarming scenes would make you feel happy . That kind of story is really overwhelming for me as a frustrated writer - making something thoughtful at the midst of how comedic the situation is.
A Guild to defend and Friends to be protected - all of those are completely insane to watch, making you to want more.
The Story.......
To start it off ,I better tell a little about the simple plot that made it awesome.
Lucy Heartfilia , a runaway wealthy girl dreamed of being a member of a guild named Fairy Tail , a guild that is well known of having the most strongest mages in the whole continent of Fiore. While persuing her journey , she met Natsu Dragneel with a flying cat named Happy which are actually members of Fairy Tail. Because of Natsu and Happy , she herself made it to Fairy Tail and became a member.
Natsu was called Salamander because of his dragon slayer magics - Eating fire , punching with fire , kicking with fire. Along the way , with Lucy's Celestial magic , the power to call stellar spirits from the other world , they would surpass all the challenges. Also , two other mages made their team in Fairy Tail - Erza Scarlet , an S-class mage that is well known to be Titania because of her magic to ex-equip armors directly and Gray Fullbuster , an ice mage that can mold ice to the way he want it.
Natsu , Lucy , Erza , Gray and happy was then called as the strongest team of Fairy Tail.
With a whole bunch of mages , a story about friendship will unfold - with their each others past surging in.

The strongest team....
Lucy Heartfilia
A young celestial spirit mage that came from a very wealthy family. She has the power of the the 12 gold keys of the Zodiacs. She has the powers to summon stellar spirits from the other world so that she can defeat her enemies. She can summon stellar spirits in multiples , an ability that is so uncommon. But although she can do that , her magical powers are sucked up so she can do it only in a short period of time. The notable spirits she frequently summons are:
The Stellar Spirits....
Aquarius - a very arrogant spirit to Lucy but one of the most powerful. She was also the girlfriend of Scorpio.
Taurus - an axe wielding cow who likes her body so much. He has an amazing physical power.
Virgo - a past fat ugly maid turned to a wonderful thin girl but still in maid outfit that often thought that she must be punished when Lucy says something great about her. She is expert in digging holes.
Sagittarius - A horse archer that always salutes even though there is no reason behind it.
Cancer - A dark man which has crab claws behind and two scissors in each hand. He is expert in cutting hairs when battling. Lucy also makes him as her personal hairdresser.
Horologium - A clock spirit that always sets Lucy inside him. When Lucy is inside , he always repeat what she says.
Leo / Loke - A handsome spirit that is condemned of killing his past owner and remained to the human world for years. He is a ring mage that can go out the stellar world even without his key to be opened by Lucy.
Nikora "The Canis minor" / Plue - An adorable spirit that has no ability. He is the weakest spirit that Lucy has but he has this strange cuteness that makes Lucy cuddle him.
Crux"The Southern Cross" - An old wise spirit that can remember the past. When researching to the question that Lucy asks , he usually sleeps and forms a bubble in his nose.
Lyra - A singing spirit that has the voice of an angel. If Lucy wants to be entertained , she calls Lyra and avoids boredome.
Aries - A cute sheep girl who is slaved by Karen , Leo's owner. Has special connections with Leo.
Scorpio - Aquarius's boyfriend that is one of the strong stellar spirits. Throws Sands and mimics the pincers of scorpions everytime.
Gemini - Cute duo that is owned by Angel in the past. Can copy person's appearance.
Natsu Dragneel - "Salamander"
A man raised by Igneel , a mighty dragon. He is an insane and very competitive dragon slayer mage that can eat fire. His powers are always awakened when his friends are in trouble. He is always bragging to fight Gray , his long time rival since he had taken his first step in Fairy Tail. He destroys almost everything when they do jobs , making Makarov , Fairy Tail's master to cry because of the expenses that he will pay for the damages. He has this strong will to protect his friends and has a soft spot for Lisanna , a fairy tail mage that died because of Elfman's beast take over. And in addition , he hates transportation that bad.
Happy
A talking cat that is Natsu's bestbud. He has the power to fly by using the "Aera" magic that makes wings grow in his back. He is a cold headed type of cat that can kill someone if he/she taken the fish he eats. He always cry when his friends are in trouble. He usually lifts people so that they can be transported - that was the use of his wings and no other things anymore.
Erza Scarlet - "Titania"
An S-ranked mage that is the most strongest girl in Fairy tail. She can ex-equip armors that lets her fight that good. Like Lucy , her armors and weapons are stored in a different world. She has a dark past of being a slave in The Tower Of Heavens , a place where the r-system is constructed to resurrect persons from death. She wants to finish his fight with Jellal , her past friend that was possesed by Zeref's spirit , the powerful evil mage. She is a very strong willed girl that always brings Natsu and Gray eat dust.
Gray Fullbuster
An ice mage that can mold ice to static forms (not moving). He has always a habit of taking off his clothes , that's why many calls him a pervert. He was Natsu's rival. His family was killed by Deliora , a beast that Zeref made. To seal the monster , his master ,Ur , used "Iced Shell" a sealing magic that makes the caster's body to ice.
Others....
Makarov - One of the ten holy mages that is the master of Fairy Tail. He is slightly pervert and has an amazing magical power. He may be a small man but don't mess with him and with Fairy Tail. He will do all to protect his guild. His most notable magic is "Fairy law" that kills anyone he thinks to be an enemy. He also turns into a giant.
Mirajane "Demon" - A past S-ranked mage that can take over the Satan soul. She has an amazing power but was hindered when she herself cannot protect her siblings , Lissana and Elfman. She has also the power to transform to anything or anyone. Acts as the mother of Fairy Tail. She was also the past rival of Erza , just like Natsu and Gray.
Elfman "BeastMaster" - a mage that can take over the form of a beast that he cannot control. When he lose control one day , he unknowingly killed Lissana , his baby sister. He likes person who acts manly and would devour anything to protect Mirajane.
Cana - A woman who always like to drink alcohol. She has the power of combining cards to form magic. She can also tell your fortune.
Macao - A father who was taken over by a monkey beast in the mountains but saved by natsu and lucy. He has purple fire , different from natsu which is red.
Reedus - A fat man that has the power to make his paintings alive. He was always caught on situations because of his cowardness.
Levy - The intelligence of Fairy Tail. She usually researches things to undo curses. She writes words that makes her opponent feel it. She was the only one who reads Lucy's books written by herself. Member of Shadow Gear , Fairy Tail's another team.
Jet and Droy - Mages that are also members of shadow gear. Jet can move so fast while Droy can control plants.
Loke - A mage that can use ring magic but actually Leo , a Stellar spirit.
Mystogan - One of the strongest mages of Fairy Tail. He is full of cloaking and never reveals himself. When he arrives people usually sleeps because of his magic. He was actually the counterpart of Jellal , Erza's past friend and enemy , in Edoras dimension , a counterpart world of the real world.
Laxus - Also one of the strongest mages of Fairy tail and Grandson of Makarov. He was actually implanted by a Thunder Dragon Slayer lacrima by his father , Ivann. He devours things with thunder just like Natsu. He was then expelled to Fairy Tail because he rebelled in order to change Fairy Tail to the evil way he want it to.
Lisanna - Sister of Mirajane and Elfman. She has the power of full body takeover of animals she wants. She was accidentally killed by Elfman when he lose control. She was the love interest of Natsu back then.
Raijin team - Consists of Freid , a rune mage that set the rules , Evergreen , a petrifying mage and Bixlow , a doll manipulator mage. They were the bodyguard of laxus and dealt damage when they rebelled with him.
Juvia - One of the most loved character in Fairy tail. She is a gloomy girl that can control water and cause rain. She was really really in love with gray. She was a past member of Phantom Lord , Fairy Tail's rival guild. She was also one of the Element Four.
Gajeel - Also a past member of Phantom Lord. He is also a Dragon Slayer raised by Metallica , an iron dragon. Often quarrels with natsu.
Wendy - Also a dragon slayer raised by Gardine , a wind dragon. She heals wound through breathing air but usually gets tired after that. She is the bestbud of Charle , a talking cat like Happy.
Charle - also talking cat. Uses "Aera" magic which causes her to fly. Has also the power of precognition. She was the princess of Extalia.
Max - a mage that uses sand magic. The host of the Miss Fairy Tail contest.
Warren - Has Telepathic abilities that is in great help for communicating other members of the guild.
Wakaba - Has smoke magic can duplicate himself. Strong rival of Macao.
Laki - A Cute wood make mage just like gray who is ice make. Had shorten her hair for preparation in Miss Fairy Tail.
Nab - Always looking at the Request Board but not taking any jobs to do. Can punch physical forces with a hint of violet colored magic.

Who makes it.....
The creator is Hiro Mashima. The animation is resembling ONE PIECE and RAVE MASTER. Note the resemblance of Luffy and Natsu. Plue also appeared in Rave Master.
